Er...Can't Really Think of a Title, So Bear With Me

  • Mood: In the mood to watch anime. Maybe I'll watch Samurai Deeper Kyo...
  • Music: Feeling Beautiful - Akino Arai ((I think that's how you spell her first name.)) - Noir
  • Situation: Trying to get this finished up so I can get my homework done and watch anime.
  • Currently in Love With: Kyo from Samurai Deeper Kyo. NOT KYOSHIRO. Kyo. He's so...evil. In a sexy way. XD

Hey ya'll.

HAPPY LABOR DAY!

What's happening? Good-good, glad to hear it.

I just got home from soccer practice and felt like writing an entry before I head back into the torturous Hell known as school tomorrow. I also start gymnastics tomorrow. It's so ironic.

You know, I knew it would happen sooner or later, but this is only the third practice and I've already been established the 'wierdo' of the soccer team. Not that I have a problem with that or anything - hell, I've also been the odd one out. But the rest of the players (( we're an all girls team )) and I get along pretty well despite MY differences, so it's okay. ^^

Not much to say, except that I probably should be finishing up my homework because I have to get in bed before 9:30, but screw it - I'll just stay up late. Doesn't matter much. I'm used to getting very little sleep. I can deal with it.

This weekend I decided to watch Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne. I only watched up until the episode where Fin leaves because I didn't really want to watch anything REALLY substantial. Only fun fluff. After Fin leaves it gets all serious, and I wasn't in the mood for drama.

I've already decided on a few *snort* series I want to get soon. Here they are:

::SERIES I WANT::

1. Full Moon wo Sagashite (( REALLY REALLY REALLY WANT!!! Can't emphasis REALLY enough! ))
2. Touch (( Apparently it's actually quite good! ))
3. Whisper of the Heart (( Actually, this is a Ghibli film I've wanted for a while. ))
4. Aishteruze Baby (( THIS LOOKS SO KAWAII!!!! >.< ))
5. Stellvia of the Universe
6. Saber Marionette J
7. Saber Marionette J to X
8. Pretear (( I've wanted this for quite some time. ))
9. Full Metal Panic (( I think it looks funny and the animation kicks ass. ))
10. Kodoma no Omocha (( ALSO - REALLY REALLY WANT!!! ))

Anyway, these are all the series I own:  (( Can you tell I've got nothing to do? ))

::SERIES I OWN::

1. Blue Seed
2. Fushigi Yuugi - Seasons 1 and 2
3. Bubblegum Crisis: Tokyo 2040
4. Hana Yori Dango (( BEST ANIME SERIES OF ALL TIME!!!!!!!! ))
5. Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne (( Three-way ties for second-best series! ))
6. Witch Hunter Robin
7. Real Bout High School
8. Martian Successor Nadesico
9. Samurai Deeper Kyo (( Three-way ties for second-best series! ))
10. Rurouni Kenshin (( Three-way ties for second-best series! ))
11. Outlaw Star
12. Kurogane Communication ((Gosh, I hate this series. It's SOOOOOO boring.))
13. Tenkuu no Escaflowne (( YES! I SHALL CONTINUE TO REFER TO IT WITH THE JAPANESE NAME! (Inside joke; nevermind.) ))

::CLASSIC ANIME OPINIONS::

I have three groups that I've decided to list for the hell of it; I mean, since I'm getting all ANIME-Y on ya'll. They are: Classic Classics (meaning they deserve their 'classic' classification), Crappy Classics (meaning they DO NOT deserve their 'classic' classification), and Should-Be Classics (meaning they deserve to be classified as a 'classic' anime series.) Here goes:

::CLASSIC CLASSICS::

Tenkuu no Escaflowne

Cowboy Bebop

Cardcaptor Sakura (Depending on the circumstances)

Rurouni Kenshin

:CRAPPY CLASSICS:

Neon Genesis Evangalion

Sailor Moon (The first two seasons were pleasant, but then it went SERIOUSLY downhill.)

:SHOULD-BE CLASSICS:

Hana Yori Dango (Everyone knows this is my favorite anime series of all time. Hell, I'm afraid to write fanfiction or draw fanart for it for fear of shaming the series with my mediocre talent. ALL HAIL THE GREAT KAMIO YOUKO!!!! (HYD's manga-ka, for all you poor, deprived/oblivious people.) -wallows at Kamio-sama's feet-)

Rahxephon

Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne

Full Moon wo (o) Sagashite (At least, I think so. I'm not sure since I haven't seen it yet, but I'm expecting great things from FMwo/oS! What can I say? Tanemura Arina just can't seem to go wrong. She created both KKJ and FMwo/oS! She's one talented lady! ^.^)

If anyone has any argument against what I think are Crappy Classics, then please - feel free to tell me so. Also, if anyone has a series they think should be on the Classic Classics or Should-Be Classics list, then tell me!

Loved Sailormoon at first too. Then it got insanely repetitive.

If you're into down-to-earth anime like Hana Yori Dango (e.g. no blasts from the palm, magic spells & stuff), you oughtta try Kare Kano. Although I think only the first 5 episodes stood out. But then again, it's a really nice title. Laugh out loud and quite cute.

To me, Rurouni Kenshin ranks better than Samurai Deeper Kyo though. SDK lacks choreography when it comes to fight scenes. And oftentimes, it applies the one-slash wonder battles, which is lame. Then again, SDK has better art. Demon Eyes Kyo's quite the bishie... but I Like the innocent look of Kyoshiro better.

Gee, you got quite a list there! *sneaks in & tries to steal some titles away*

MISSION FAILED. THIS PROGRAM HAS PERFORMED AND ILLEGAL OPERATION AND WILL BE SHUT DOWN. LOL.

LOL - stay away from my anime!!! -grins- Anyway, I've seen Kare Kano ((well, read the manga)) and I liked it, but I think it should have followed the manga's storyline just a bit more faithfully. If it had, it would have resulted in a much better anime series. That's just me, though.

don't know how true, but generally, they say the MANGA is ALWAYS BETTER than the anime series. Well, that's what THEY say.

LOL - it usually tends to be true, but not all the time. I think that most of the RK manga is better than the anime, but sometimes the anime's more interesting. It depends on the Arc.
